By using software MARC, compression deformation of weatherstip seals is analyzed. A lot of important information can be obtained from simulation analysis, for example, door closing effort (compression load deflection response) and water leak (contact pressure and seal shape). With analytical results, the best balance of seal performance can be obtained. Consequently, the product design efficiency can be increased and development cost can be reduced.

利用非线性有限元法分析了密封条的压缩受力变形特性,根据结构力学原理对密封条横截面形状进行了优化。结果表明,在压缩的3个阶段,密封条结构中下泡管左侧和上下泡管连接处承受了较大的变形,其压缩负荷之比为0.678∶1∶1.3,超出了汽车生产厂家规定的指标极限0.778∶1∶1.113。结构优化后,其下泡管左侧壁厚增大,上下泡管连接处的壁厚减小,压缩负荷曲线比原结构的较为平缓,三阶段压缩负荷之比为0.788∶1∶1.114。
