For the purpose of researching the mechanisms of losses in piezoelectrics, three dissipation factors, which are dielectric, mechanical and piezoelectric losses, are introduced to describe the losses.
According to the expressions of dissipation factors in terms of equivalent circuit parameters,the dissipation factors are obtained in stress experiments.

The average value of dissipation factors (tgδ=ε"/ε') of N-doped carbon coated Fe.Co.Ni nanocrystals were 0.9, 0.31, 0.30, respectively. The results suggest that N-doped carbon coated Fe.Co.Ni nanocrystals are good candidate materials for microwave absorber design.

This paper presents a comparative diagnosis on water vapour and kinetic energy for the decay and modification process of a landing typhoon. The results show that the supply condition of water vapour affected strongly the intensity of the landing typhoon. The low-jet between the typhoon and a subtropical high was a primary transport belt of water vapour when the typhoon moved northward.
