Based upon the terminal threshold temperature of oil generation, a prediction of the lower limit of depth of oil distribution is made. It is believed that the dep-ression may hold great potiential for oil and gas exploration at depth.

Different types of geotherm-earthquake models for study the relation of geothermal anomaly and earthquake development and occurrence and the situation concerning simulated tests for such a relationship in recent years have been summarized in this paper. The heat fracturing effect on rocks and currently existing problems and a further prospect in this sphere of research work have been also discussed.

The geothermal field can be related to the generation of oil and gas and to the geothermal resource as well. The higher geothermal setting is quite favourable to generation of oil and gas in this area, and hot water from the buried-hill can be a useful resource.
