An attempt has been made in this paper in predicting oil/ gas and fracture-developed zones during seismic interpretation based on fractal theory. The paper firstly put forward two methods for calculating fractal dimension. Their effectiveness in oil / gas prediction from seismic traces is demonstrated via a number of applied examples. Satisfactory results arc then achieved in fracture-developed zone prediction over a geologic section by means of fractal intcrplation. An interactive system (IFFS) for fracture prediction has been worked out based on the techniques mentioned above and the results from applying IFFS to real data arc finally presented.

本文试图利用适合处理复杂现象的分形理论来解决地震解释中的油气预测和裂缝发育带预测这两个问题。文中首先介绍了计算分维的两种方法。实例表明,这两种算法对地震道的油气预测是有效的.然后,用分形插值的办法对地质剖面的裂缝发育带进行预测,取得了较为满意的结果。最后给出了根据上述方法编制的交互式裂缝预测系统IFFS及其对实际资料的处理结果。

The methods of stress field calculating and tensional fracture prediction are introduced, based on the geological data of Songliao basin. The probability density functions of different rocks are introduced. And the distribution of tensional fracture area in the west of the Songliao Basin is predicted. Integrated with the result of prediction, some conclusion and advise are given,which may serve as a new basis for petroleum exploration.

前人证实,地质裂缝具有分形性质,故本文利用分形插值原理对四川盆地L剖面进行了裂缝预测。分形插值是对复杂空间的一种逼近手段,它能更精细地描述处理对象。也就是说。只要通过一些已知点,即可插出具有分形性质的复杂图形。分形插位运算是在构造的选代函数系(IFS)中逐步进行的。在利用此法中,要尽可能将剖面上的所有的断层解释出来,以利于构造好的分形剖面。
