In addition a special design was adoped, and the measuring device was successfully moved out of the furnace, thus greatly reducing the disturbance and effectively improving the measurements. During the research work on dilatometer, the programmed temperature control system and measuring system have been designed and made. In the measureing system, a displacement measuring device with a differential transformer was set up which provided a reliable sevice. In addition a special design was adoped, and the measuring device was successfully moved out of the furnace, thus greatly reducing the disturbance and effectively improving the measurements. Of the programed control system, a new type of digital control system was made and a special linear traetment was carried out for the W-Re thermocouple being used. Besides, the program given by the digital control system is rather flexible and this system costs cheaply. With a stable and sound repeatability, it can also be eazily used to revise programs. It is especially useful in temperature control situations where the constant modification of programs is needed.
