The characteristics of soil physical, chemical and biological properties of sandy grassland in natural restoring processes after different grazing intensity disturbance were studied. Contents of organic carbon, total nitrogen and phosphorus, available nitrogen and phosphorus, and basal soil respiration in topsoil among different treatments have significant differences: post-moderate-grazing restoration plot>post-light-grazing restoration plot>non-restoration plot>post-heavy-grazing restoration plot. Soils in post-heavy-grazing restoration plot exhibit higher bulk density and pH values, and lower Catalase, Urease, and alkaline Phosphatase activities compared to other plots. Soil nutrients and enzymes in sandy grassland concentrate in the upper layer of the profile and decrease with depth. The effects of grazing livestock on soil properties occurred in the 0~7.5 cm soil layer. Heavy grazing has overtaken the threshold of sandy grasslands carry capacity and the threshold of resistance to disturbance, which worsens soil properties and weakens resilience. However, moderate grazing enhances the cycling of soil nutrient materials and favors the maintenance and improvement of soil fertility and soil resilience.

The results showed that there were 62 specie plants in three storage pools, subject to 20 families and 47 gena. There are 59 specie plants in 10 years restoration plot, 48 specie plants in 7 years restoration plot and 38 specie plants in 4 years restoration plot. In all three vegetative restoration areas, Gramineous and Leguminous plants occupied the dominance position, which general coverage degrees were more than 85 percent. But in the inlaid community there was more rhizome plants. In the spectrum of life form of Raunkiaer, the annual plant has the most proportion in al three vegetative restoration areas.

Leymus secalimus is a fine and typical clonal plant, which distributes widely in the sandy soil of Kerqin steppe region. L. secalimus tiller nodes and rhizomes could live 4 years in Kerqin steppe region of Inner Mongolia. In mid-August, the rhizomes of the clonal populations consisted of four age classes in the 12-year vegetation restoration plot and three age classes in the 5-year vegetation restoration plot. Stable age structure was shown on the rhizome biomass unit area. During two restoration stages, the tillers were composed of two age classes; the tiller biomass showed expanding age structure; and the shorter the restoration term, the more obvious was the expanding age structure. The productivity of one-age class tillers was higher than that of two-age class tillers in the two plots. The matter storage of different age class rhizomes boasted great ecological plasticity.

对不同植被恢复阶段赖草(Leymussecalimus)种群分蘖株和根茎构件生物量年龄结构进行了测定与分析。结果表明:在科尔沁草原,赖草的分蘖节和根茎均可存活4个年度;8月中旬,植被恢复12年和5年储灰池中赖草无性系种群的根茎分别由4和3个龄级组成,根茎生物量均呈稳定型年龄结构;两个恢复阶段赖草无性系种群的分蘖株均由两个龄级组成,生物量均为增长型的年龄结构,恢复时间短者增长型结构尤为明显;赖草无性系种群1龄级分蘖株的生产力均高于2龄级,各龄级根茎的物质贮藏具有较大的生态可塑性。
