Consider the axial or transverse free vibration of contactor with concentrated mass and concentrated spring acting. They correspond 2nd-order or 4th-order inital-boundary value problem, respectively, whose coefficients contain δ-function. we have proved(i) the solvability of eigenvalue problem.(ii) the convergence of finite element solutions of eigenvalue and eigenfunction.(iii) the existeucc and unigueness of generalized solution of inital-boundary value problems.
