In this paper,a new iris recognition algorithm based on multilevel wavelet decomposition is proposed.In the algorithm,both global and local texture feature of iris are considered.Compared with Daugman's method,the size of an iris code and the processing time of the feature extraction are significantly reduced.Experimental results show that the proposed system can be used for a personal identification system in an efficient manner.

该文提出了一种基于多层小波分解的虹膜识别算法。该算法既考虑了虹膜纹理的全局特征又考虑了局部特征。与Daugman的方法比较,在编码长度和编码时间方面有较明显的改进。实验结果表明,该算法能够有效地应用到身份鉴别系统中。
