Diatomite in the treatment of acrylic fibre wastewater was selected to study the recycling of deposed diatomite. Dynamic leaching experiment was conducted to evaluate the desorption rule and effect of Na+, Al3+, Fe2+, Zn2+, Ca2+ and Mg2+ absorbed deposed diatomite while SO42- was evaluated by static soaking experiment.
The results show that COD and NH+_4-N in the effluent satisfy the Reuse of Urban Recycling Water—Water Quality Standard for Urban Miscellaneous Water Consumption (GB/T 18920-2002) when aeration rate is 14.5 m3/h, HRT is 4.5 h and MLSS is 8.0 g/L. At the same time, the removal rates of TN and TP are 45.6% and 43.1% respectively.
Operation results show that the average concentration of turbidity,BOD_5,NH_3-N and oil in the effluent are 1.8 NTU,8.7 mg/L,1.69 mg/L,and 0.58 mg/L, respectively. The effluent is colorless or odorless. The parameters of the effluent are better than the Reuse of Urban Recycling Water—Water Quality Standard for Urban Miscellaneous Water Consumption(GB/T 18920-2002).
The practical operation shows that the removal efficiencies of BOD_5, SS, NH_3-N, turbidity and color are all higher than 90% under HRT of 6 h. The effluent quality satisfies The Reuse of Urban Recycling Water-Water Quality Standard for Scenic Environment Use (GB/T 18921-2002).
