An Er:Yb codoped phosphate Kigre glass microchip laser operated continuously at 1.535μm and endpumped by Ti:sapphire laser with a pumping wavelength of 980nm was reported.The output characteristics of the laser in pumping wavelength range from 950 to 988nm was experimentally studied and the result shows that the optimal pumping wavelength was of 975nm.Under 975nm pumping,a linearly polarized laser with a low threshold of 5mW and with a 21% optical efficiency has been achieved,and a maximum single frequency output power of 22mW was really reached.Moreover,polarization and longitudinal mode behavior,as well as the output power saturation due to the pumping absorption saturation of the microchip laser with high level pumping have also been observed and analyzed....

A corner_pump method for high_power quasi_three_level lasers is repo rted. The design uses a slab laser configuration with the incident pump light fr om the slab corner. We present an analytic description of pumping absorption, pu mping brightness, doping concentration and crystal dimension for the corner_pum p ed composite Yb:YAG laser. 基于对双包层光纤的内包层结构、掺杂浓度、剖面折射率分布、外包层的背底损耗等因素对泵浦光吸收效率的影响进行分析的基础上,对掺Yb3+双包层光纤内包层直径对泵浦光的吸收长度和泵浦效率进行了理论模拟。采用半导体激光二极管光纤模块作为泵浦源,采用梅花瓣型双包层光纤与光纤光栅元件连接制作了全光纤结构的光纤激光器,实验获得了 6.02 W单模光纤激光器,中心波长为1 080 nm,半高宽为0.11 nm,斜率效率为1.7 W/A。
