The preferred images were processed optically and by the computer and interpreted in a comprehensive way. In-situ spectrum measurements and drilling verification were carried out. The identification signature of the peat bog in Zoig was defined. The feature of the identification signature for peat was that the peat bog area showed a dark tone with lower reflectance in images of the four MSS bands. The distribution range of peat bog in the area was exactly located. The types of peat bog were distinguished. The total peat area of 4038 km~2 was defined with total reserves of 5300 million m~3. The result of the study indicates that the large-area, small-scale investigation of peat resources by use of satellite remote sensing data is an advanced method, by which the work efficiency can increase by about 20 times.

They are ①interpretation of TM false colour composite image composed by three optimal band TM images; ②mixed cluster classification (MCC) using optimal band TM images; ③interpretation of NDVI false colour image composed by optimal seasonal NPVI images ; ④MCC using optimal seasonal NDVI images. Applied these methods to land use survey in an experimental area of Chu County, Anhui province, it shows that land use types can be surveyed efficiently by using these four methods in the same time.

土地利用状况是区域规划、农作物合理布局、生态环境保护、流域水文模型建立、防洪救灾 等的重要依据。本文探讨了利用不同时相陆地卫星TM信息及其植被指数(NDVI)识别土地利用 类型的四种方法:①TM最佳波段组合的彩色合成解译法;②TM最佳波段组合的混合聚类法;③ 不同时相NDW.图的彩色合成解译法;④不同时相NDVI图的混合聚类法。通过在安徽省滁县试 验区的应用表明,四种方法联合使用可有效地识别土地利用类型。
