AC power propulsion systems have the requirements of high efficiency, low harmonics and noise. This paper introduces the principles of sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) and space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM), discusses the dead-time insert and narrow-pulse disposal in ship propulsion applications, and realizes them based on digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320LF2407A. Computation and comparison are made in terms of experiments and harmonic analysis. The result shows that compared with SPWM, SVPWM has the advantages of less harmonic distortion, lower switching losses and higher voltage availability ratio, which has provided a solution to the PWM generation of AC ship power propulsion systems.

交流电力推进系统的设计需满足高效率、低谐波和低噪声的要求。本文介绍了推进电机变频调速技术中正弦脉宽调制(SPWM)和空间矢量脉宽调制(SVPWM)的生成原理,讨论了实际舰船推进应用中死区时间的插入以及过窄脉冲的处理方法,在此基础上利用数字信号处理器(DSP)TMS320LF2407A进行了实现,并对实验所得波形的谐波含量进行了计算与比较分析。实验结果表明,与SPWM相比,SVPWM具有谐波畸变率低、开关损耗小以及电压利用率高等优点,为舰船交流变频推进系统的PWM方式提供了一种解决方案。
