In this paper, the dependence of the ship resistance in the still water on the ship forms for several ships with block coefficients around 0.8, with and without bulb-bows,is analysised. In this paper, the dependence of the ship resistance in the still water on the ship forms for several ships with block coefficients around 0.8, with and without bulb-bows,is analysised. It has been shown that in the design of hull forms for such high block coefficient ships, the attention must be payed to resistance performance both in the full load and ballast conditions. Based on these analysis, the trade off in the design of hull form is discussed. It is suggested that filling a bulb bow of adeguate size is one of the effec- tive ways to improve the resisteance performance in ballast condition. A comparision of the results of model resistance tests for four parent hull forms shows that using the tanker series SSPA and series 60 for forebody and afterbody forms is suitable to ship forms with block coefficients around 0.8. Considerable improvements in resistance performance in the ballast con- dition and practically no inflance in the full load condition has been found for one of the investigated bulb-bows.

本文对若干艘方形系数为0.80左右的肥大船在具有球鼻艏和只有常规船艏及满处相压载航行状态下,船型和静水阻力性能间的关系进行了分析。在此基础上,探讨肥大船型的权衡设计,并认为在肥大船型设计时应同时兼顾满载和压载航行状态的阻力性能。提出加装适当尺度的球鼻艏是改善压载航行状态阻力性能的有效方法之一. 四种肥大船原型的船模阻力比较试验的结果表明,对方型系数0.8左右的肥大船型前体和后体分别采用 SSPA和60系列船型较为理想。 提供一压载航行时阻力性能有较大收益,而对满载航行时的阻力性能影响不大的球鼻艏.

This paper describes briefly the experimental results of resistance tests,pro- peller open water tests and self-propulsion tests of five geometrically similar models of a 24,000 DWT oil tanker.The tests were carried out at Ship Hydrodynamics Laboratory of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.The following conclusions reached on the basis of the analysis of experimental results may be useful for future refer- ence in ship model experimental research. This paper describes briefly the experimental results of resistance tests,pro- peller open water tests and self-propulsion tests of five geometrically similar models of a 24,000 DWT oil tanker.The tests were carried out at Ship Hydrodynamics Laboratory of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.The following conclusions reached on the basis of the analysis of experimental results may be useful for future refer- ence in ship model experimental research. (1)The form factor method (three-dimensional method) is more reasonable than the traditional Froude's method(two-dimensional method) for extrapolating model to ship resistance. (2)There is an appreciable scale effect on wake fraction,and the wake fraction decreases as the size of models increases. (3)The scale effect on thrust deduction coefficient is small,which may be con- sidered approximately constant for models greater than 5 meters in length. (4)The relative rotative efficiency decreases as the size of models decreases, but its scale effect can be neglected when the diameter of the model pro- peller is greater than 120 mm.and the length of the ship model is longer than 4 meters.

本文简要介绍上海交通大学船模试验池对于24000吨油轮五艘几何相似船模的阻力试验、敞水试验及自航试验的结果,根据试验结果分析得出的下列结论可供今后船模试验研究参考之用。1.在阻力换算中,形状因子法(三因次法)较传统的付汝德法(二因次法)更为合理。2.伴流分数有明显的尺度效应,随模型尺度的增加而下降。3.推力减额分数的尺度效应较小,当船模长度大于5米时可视力常数。4.相对旋转效率随模型尺度的减小而下降,当桨模直径大于120毫米和船模长度大于4米时方可忽略其尺度作用的影响。
