Forty-six species of poplar were introduced from home and abroad.Based on our observation of their three year's growth and our investigation on their resistance, several species were chosen which possessed resistivity of rust, and whose growth-speed was similar to that of Populus canadensis.Among the chosen species were Populus sercerouge and P.275 which were possessed of resistance, and P.gelrica, P.canadensis, P.robusta, P.15A which were subjected to slight infection. Out of fifteen species of poplar growing in the northeast area, we composed fiftyeight hybridized combinations, among four combinations of which we picked out such hybrid plants as capable of resisting Melampsora larici-populina Kleb.and M.Magnusiana Wagner.Through our test, the results are shown below: 1.Whether the species of Populus Sect.Aigeiros Duby.and Populus Sect.Tacamahaca Spach were crossed with each other or respectively between themselves, among their hybrids, there were no plants which could resist rust. 2.But when P.davidiana Dode was crossed with the species of Populus Sect.Aigeiros Duby.or with the species of Populus Sect.Tacamahaca Spach, among their hybrids appeared such plants in each type that possessed resistivity of rust. For instance, P.davidiana Dode×P.berolinensis; Populus davidiana Dode×P.manshurica Nakai; P.simonii Carr.×P.davidiana Dode; and P.berolinensis×P.davidiana Dode.and it was found that when P.davidiana Dode was taken as maternal plant, the proportion of hybrid plants with resistivity of rust was great in number, while in the case of other way round, the proportion small. Pear rust, caused by Gymnosporangium haraeanum Syd. is an alternate parasitic fungus. In the spring, the swelling of spore horns, germination of teliospores, dissemination of sporidia and infection of pear leaves depend on a scqence of suitable meteorological conditions. Wet weather, espeeilly the rainy day is optimal for disease development. The infection takes place during the stage of opening of leaf buds in wet weather or rainy days from the last ten days of March to April and must coincide with the gelatination...

Pear rust, caused by Gymnosporangium haraeanum Syd. is an alternate parasitic fungus. In the spring, the swelling of spore horns, germination of teliospores, dissemination of sporidia and infection of pear leaves depend on a scqence of suitable meteorological conditions. Wet weather, espeeilly the rainy day is optimal for disease development. The infection takes place during the stage of opening of leaf buds in wet weather or rainy days from the last ten days of March to April and must coincide with the gelatination of teliospores and the dissemination of sporidia. Galcium polysulfide, bavirtion and thirarn etc. may be used to kill the developing spores on the junipers; Thiophanale and Bavistion etc. have been used to protect the developing foliage of pears against the rust infection.

本文报道了梨锈病在昆明地区的转主寄主树为圆柏和龙柏,及其上面冬孢子角的发生和成熟时间,以及空中冬孢子的监测。表明冬孢子分期分批成熟,为2月初和3月中旬两个高峰期,此时正是梨嫩叶感病盛期。通过各种药剂抑制冬孢子萌发和果园防治试验,筛选出预防和防治两组有效药剂。前者有石硫合剂、波尔多液、粉锈灵、代森铵、多菌灵等,预防效果达55.05%~100%;后者有粉锈灵、多菌灵、代森铵、甲霜灵等,防治效果达48.44%~100%。梨树品种的抗病性测定表明,大理水扁梨和贵妃梨对梨锈病具有较强抗性。
