The main spans are designed of box girders of equal heights and with a triple Planecable system of 7-5 mm φ strands in harp arrangement.This paper describes briefly of the special and novel features of the structure and the experimental data obtained from the model tests with scale 1:30 for whole spans and scale 1:4 for structural joints.Other tests we made at the same time are: on fatigue and anti-corrosion tests of cable anchorages, the pumpcrete methods for high strength concrete, the pratical work of cantilevered scaffolding, the new pot bearing of 900T capacity by using polytetrofluorothylene and chloroprene, and also the use of jacks typeTD-100.Through these experiments, it leads us successfully the way to establish the designing procedure and the erection method of this type of bridge. Undoubtfully this bridge is notable as an example for longer spans and for its utmost simplicity in structure and with less costs.
