The trace copper in ammonia water solution catalyze the discoloring reaction of hydrogen peroxide oxidizing pyrocatecholviolet and it's kinetic condition were studied. A method for determining the ultratrace copper in C2H5OH and CHCl3was established. The determination range was 0-40 ngCu( Ⅱ )/25ml. The sensitivity of the method was 1.0×10-12g/ml. Recovery was 97-99%. It gave a steady and accurate result.
