对产自新疆、内蒙古和云南的天然黑色电气石的化学成分及其对热释电效应的影响进行了测试和分析 ,对电气石产生热释电效应的机制作了简要阐述。分析表明 ,不同产地天然电气石的化学成分有较大差异 ,其中氧化铁含量对热释电效应产生显著影响。随氧化铁含量的增加 ,热释电效应明显减弱。电气石的热释电效应与其常规物理特性有较好的对应关系。通过检测电气石的密度和折射率即可间接了解电气石的热释电效应。

对新疆阿尔泰地区产出的天然黑色电气石的红外辐射特性及其与微粉粒径几何尺寸大小的关系进行了研究和探讨 ,对天然黑色电气石的强红外辐射特性从晶格振动、晶体缺陷和杂质引起的局域振动等方面进行了探讨 ,提出了电气石复杂的晶体结构与丰富的类质同象替代等原因引起的晶格缺陷 ,是影响黑色电气石具强红外辐射的主要原因 .对新疆电气石微粉不同粒径的红外辐射特性进行了测试分析 ,结果表明 ,平均粒径在 4.85μm的粉料 ,在 8~ 2 5 μm波长的红外法向比辐射率达最高值 0 .93 ,高于一般红外陶瓷粉料 .研究认为 ,天然黑色电气石微粉是一种具有广阔开发前景的强红外辐射材料 .
