The influence of both A H~(1/2), the ventilation parameter, and h, the vent location height, on the mass burning rate of liquid fuel is investigated in a reduced enclosure. It is found that the later has serious influence to the enclosure fire development too. It can affect the action of the smoke layer on flame, and lead the air supply and heat loss condition to change, so some various combustion phenomena appeares. The variation of the maximum burning rate with A H~(1/2) and h are discussed.

According to the fire ventilation, enclosure fires can be divided into two regimes: well-ventilated and under-ventilated combustion. The fire ventilation is an important factor affecting enclosure fire behaviors, especially at under-ventilated conditions. An approximate model for predicting flame radiation in both well-and under-ventilated polymer combustion is proposed on the basis of estimation of heat release and flame sootiness. According to the fire ventilation, enclosure fires can be divided into two regimes: well-ventilated and under-ventilated combustion. The fire ventilation is an important factor affecting enclosure fire behaviors, especially at under-ventilated conditions. An approximate model for predicting flame radiation in both well-and under-ventilated polymer combustion is proposed on the basis of estimation of heat release and flame sootiness. The calculations were performed for several typical polymers involving in both small-scale and large-scale enclosure fires. The relationship between flame radiant fraction and fuel's smoke-point was examined for well-ventilated combustion. With modified slightly, the Global Flame Radiation Model presented recently by de Ris and Orloff was also used to predict the flame radiation from under-ventilated polymer fires. The comparison between the predictions from the two models and experimental data has been found to be satisfactory. This study attempts to provide:(1) a deeper scientific understanding of the ventilation effect on polymer fire behavior, and (2) a simple model to predict flame radiation in polymer combustion, for enclosure fire analysis.

Numerical simulation of combustion,turbulence and heat transfer process in three dimension enclosure fire is carried out in this paper.P1 radiation model is used in the simulation.The calculated results of simulation are compared with available experimental data.

本文对单室火灾中流动、传热、燃烧过程进行数值模拟。采用P1辐射模型计算火焰传热 ,并将计算机结果与实验数据进行了比较 ,得出了较为合理的结论
