Zinc and copper in blood serum could be determined simutaneously by anodic stripping voltammetry with, a mercury-coated silver electrode. The amount of serum needed was only as small as 0.1 ml. After the digestion process by using perchloric acid at 250°-260℃, 5ml ammonia(0.6M)-ammonium acetate (0.1 M) solution (pH 9.0-9.6)were added. Nitrogen gas was passed through for stirring and deaeration.The measurements of zinc and copper were completed by plating for 30 sec at -1.6V (vs silver/silver cholride electrode)....

Calibration curves of zino and copper in the range of 0.06μg to 0.3μg showed linear relation. The recovery rate of 0.08μg zinc was 90% and copper, 104%.Our studies showed that interference due to formation of copper-zinc intermetal-lic on the mercury-coated silver electrode was eliminated. In 0.1ml serum, iron (Ⅲ), lead and cadmium did not affect the analytical results.By using this simple rapid method, the concentration of zinc and copper in blood serum of 261 healthy persons were determined. The results are: Zino 137μg/100ml serum, copper 107μg/100ml serum (mean value), zinc/ copper ratio: 1.32/1.

Ever-increasing attention is being paid to the relationship between trace elements and coronary heart disease. Unfortunately, little has been reported on the Xray microanalysis of trace elements during coronary atherosclerosis lesion. An investigation has been made on trace elements in experimental coronary atherosclerosis lesion of rabbits induced by electrical simulation uponcervical sympathetic trunk and/or by high cholesterol diets by energy dispersive X-tay microanalysis (EDAX-9100), and compared with those...

Ever-increasing attention is being paid to the relationship between trace elements and coronary heart disease. Unfortunately, little has been reported on the Xray microanalysis of trace elements during coronary atherosclerosis lesion. An investigation has been made on trace elements in experimental coronary atherosclerosis lesion of rabbits induced by electrical simulation uponcervical sympathetic trunk and/or by high cholesterol diets by energy dispersive X-tay microanalysis (EDAX-9100), and compared with those from the control group. It has been found that the zinc/copper ratio in experimental groups is higher than that of the control grpup. There is an obvious difference between the zinc concentration in the experimental and control group (P<0.05) while no distinct difference has been detected for the copper concentration(P<0.05). This shows that the variation of zinc/copper ratio depends on the concentration of zinc. The results clearly indicate that direct stimulating of the sympathetic trunk of rabbits can produce adverse changes in the distribution of physiological homeostasis of trace elements in vivo, and lead to coronary atherosclerosis which might be caused by the disturbance on the lipoid metabolism. Ths results of research on X-ray microanalysis of the trace elements in experimental earlycoronary atherosclerosis are presented for the first time. These findings strongly support the "Zn/Cu hypothesis" in the pathogenesis of development of coronary heart disease and attribute to the elucidation of the close relationship between sympathetic functional disorder and coronary heart disease.

本文应用EDAX-9100能谱仪,对家兔冠状动脉粥样硬化病变部位的微量元素进行显微分析,发现Zn/Cu比值大于1,提供了冠心病病因中“Zn/Cu假说”的实验论证。
