With analyzing the whole changing process of the transfer functions, we have discovered that only the horizontal field transfer functions arose obvious short term precursors before Tangshan earthquake.

Applying 3 dimension finite difference method,the distribution characteristics of horizontal field transfer functions for rectangular conductor have been computed,and the law of distribution for Re part and Im part has been given. The influences of source field period,the conductivity,the buried depth and the length of the conductor on the transfer functions were studied.

The modeling calculations indicated that the real part of horizontal magnetic component at the center point is taken to 1.53 by the improved 3D finite difference calculation. This result implies that the horizontal magnetism field transfers function Cu is also taken to be 1.53. In other words, the Cu possesses same magnitude of vertical magnetism field transfer function observed from the single station.

The major work is as follows:1) Based on dry hull modal analysis of flexure-torsion coupling vibration of unsymmetrical ship structures about longitudinal centerline, a transfer matrix method to calculate the dynamic characteristics is adopted after the parameters of structures are specified. Taken both shear effect and warping deformations into account, the point and field transfer matrices are derived, and the influence on dynamic characteristics is computed according to different damaged positions and areas.

Considering the mechanic characteristics of the four types of steel bridges, detailed formulae of field transfer matrix and point matrix of each bridge are derived respectively.
