For simplicity, the in-plane saturation linear magnetostriction S is assumed to follow the relationwhere θ and ψ are the polar angles of saturation magnetization Ms and length-measuring direction l, respectively, with a reference direction R fixed in the material as a polar axis, and λs (θ) is the λs varying with θ. Based on this, several equations connecting λs (θ), the correlation of effective saturation magnetostriction constants, measured with strain-, tension torque- and tension magnetization methods, to λs (θ) was derived. Using these equations, some existing esults were analysed. In view of the contradictions between the results of λs (θ) obtained from different methods or the same method but different procedures, it is suggested that the measurements of λs should be further improved.

The disaccommodation of magnetic permeability, specific intensity of magnetization and linear magnetostriction of amorphous alloys (FexNi1-x)76Si8B16 were measured.It was found that the disaccommodation measured at low temperature range is a monotonically decreasing function of Fe content. However, a peak of disaccommodation was observed at higher temperature range. As revealed, the influence of alloy composition on disaccommodation is resulting from the magnetostriction which couples the structural defects with magnetization. The dependence of disaccommodation on temperature shows that it is a comprehensive effect of the ordering effect of atoms' orientation with stress relaxation.

The results show clearly two kinds. (1) Six of them be-long to the first type of pressure effect on magnetism. is positive under most of pres-sure, i. e. M_s diminishes when p increases. is negative only in some narrow ranges ofpressure. It is due to variation of chemical short range order which is composed of magnetic atomsand non-magnetic atoms under different pressure. (2) Amorphous alloy Fe_(78.75)Cu_(1.25)Si_5B_(15) be-longs to the second type of pressure effect on magnetism. is negative under most ofpressure. Anomalous rise of M_s is related to the special role of Cu.

强制体积磁致伸缩的数量级极小(10 ̄(-10)~10 ̄(-9)[(10 ̄3/4π)(A/m)] ̄(-1)),如通过测量三个互成直角方向的线磁致伸缩(10 ̄(-6)[(10 ̄3/4π)(A/m)] ̄(-1))再正负迭加则很难测准。本文利用热力学关系:,用静水压法在0.0001~2.4GPa范围测得七种非晶合金Fe_(81.6)Si(4.6)B_(13.8)、Fe_(46.3)Co_(0.03)Ni_(46.5)Si_(3.75)V_(0.92)B_(2.5)、Fe_(75)Cr_5Si_5B_(15)、Fe_(73.9)Co_(8.3)Si_(4.4)B_(13.4)、Fe_(75)Ni_5Si_5B_(15)、Fe_(78.75)Cu_(1.25)Si_5B_(15)和(Fe_(0.85)Co_(0.15))_(82)Cu_(0.4)Si_(4.4)B_(13.2)的强制体积磁致伸缩及其随静水压p的变化。结果表明:(1)其中六种属于第一类压磁效应。在大部分压力下为正,p增加时M_s不断减小;仅在几个狭窄的压力范围为负。可归因于磁性原子与非磁性原子的化学短程序在压力下的变化。(2)非晶合金Fe_(78.75)?
