The common difficulties of fabrication techniques with high resolution for three dimensional complex patterns are discussed.A new micro fabrication technique(Confined Etchant Layer'Technique, abbreviated to CEI-T) for the replication of three-dimensional pattern at micro-- or nanometer scale has been proposed. The active etchant is generated electrochemically or photo--electrochemically on a stable mold surface with three dimensional micro--or nano--pattern. This etchant can be rapidly consumed by self-decomposition or through reaction with other redox couples during its diffusion away from the mold surface. Thus, the etchant can be confined within an ultrathin diffusion layer around the mold surface, and the outer boundary of this diffusion layer of fixed thickness will retain the three--dimensional fine feature of the mold surface. When the distance between the mold and the substrate being etched is reduced,the etching rate of a specified site of the substrate surface depends strongly on the distance between this site and the closet echant generation site at the patternned mold surface.As a result, a three-dimensional pattern of the mold can be replicated onto the substrate.

现有用于批量复制的微加工技术较难用于加工复杂的三维图形元件(如微凹凸面镜、。微锥形齿轮等)。主要原因是:1.只能加工简单三维图形;2.只能控制刻蚀深度,刻蚀后的表面仍保留着刻蚀前的表面的粗糙度。针对上述问题,本课题组首先提出用于三维超微图形复制加工的约束刻蚀剂层技术(ConfinedEtchantLayerTechnique,简称CELT),该技术具有距离选择性并能控制保留量,可望用于批量复制加工微米乃至纳米级的复杂三维图形元件。
