The main reservoirs of Kela 2 gas field include sandstones in Lower Cretaceous Bashijiqike Formation, sandstones and dolostones in Lower Paleogene Kumugeliemu Group. The Lower Cretaceous sandstone reservoir is 220.3~285.2 m in thickness. Its porosity ranges from 1.1% to 22.4%,average out 12.83%. Its permerbility ranges from 0.004×10 -3 μm 2 to 1770.1×10 -3 μm 2, average out 51.46×10 -3 μm 2. The primary residual intergranular pores are the main spaces in reservoir. By comparing the sedimentary facies of the drilling wells with that of the outcrop sections, the third member of Bashijiqike Formation in Kela 2 gas field is characterized by sedimetary facies of frontal delta fan and by microfacies of the distributary channel, gravity flow and coastal shallow lake. The rocks include sandy conglomerates, conglomeratic sandstones and brown mudstones. The second member of Bashijiqike Formation is characterized by sedimentary facies of frontal braided delta and by microfacies of braided channel, distributary mouth bar and interdistributary bay. The rocks are composed of brown medium to fine sandstones interbeded with thin mudstones. The first member of Bashijiqike Formation is characterized by sedimentary facies of braided delta plain and by microfacies of braided channel and interdistributary bay. The rocks include brown medium to fine sandstones. During the Bashijiqike Age,with palaeoclimate being arid and torrid, there developed many fan shaped depositional systems along the north frontier and formed a series of braided channel delta with multiple material source areas by mutual connection and suberposition,accordingly formed the sand bodies with steady extensive distributions interbedded with thin and discontinuous muddy layers. Being a suit of excellent gas reservoir,the reservoirs of Bashijiqike Formation are characterized by great thickness, extensive and continuous distribution, high porosity and permeability, and just a few barrier beds occurred in the reservoir.
