This paper studied the interfacial shear stress (IFSS) property and interface forming mechanism in different interfaces of RTM composites, and cold plasma treatment was used to improve the interfacial performance of RTM composites. The results show that IFSS in different interfaces of RTM composites are different, and after fiber reinforcement is treated by cold plasma treatment, the interfacial properties in different interfaces of RTM composites are almost same, which make the interlaminar shear stress (ILSS) improve 11%.

The weak impregnation will result in the formation of traps in the composites because the impregnation of the resin to fiber reinforcement is one of the major factors during the filling process of RTM. It will degrade interfacial performance of the composites. In this paper, cold plasma technology is used to treat the surface of carbon fibers braided by PET and the surface microstructure of the carbon fiber is analyzed by AFM. The result shows that cold plasma treatment improves the surface polarity of the carbon fiber, which enhances the impregnation of the carbon fiber braided by PET during the resin flowing process and improves the interfacial properties of RTM composites.

 RTM工艺成型过程中树脂对纤维增强体的浸润是重要的一环,浸润不好将导致RTM成型复合材料中产生缺陷,这将降低复合材料的界面性能。本文作者采用冷等离子体技术对PET缝编碳纤维织物进行表面处理,并采用AFM对处理前后的碳纤维表面形貌进行了分析。实验结果表明:冷等离子体处理可以使碳纤维表面活性提高,从而改善RTM工艺成型过程树脂对PET缝编碳纤维织物的浸润性,进而改善RTM成型复合材料的界面性能。
