Good compatibility between intelligent elements and matrix is the basis that intelligent material and structures could be realized. This paper provided a survey of the studies of compatibility between optic fiber and matrix referred to insitu sensing of composite curing processing which was an important application field of optic fiber smart material and structures. Three parts of theoretical and experimental studies, which include the influence of embedding optic fiber on the mechanical performance after curing, the possibility of optic fiber sensing and the manufacturability of polymer based composite embedding optic fiber sensors, were presented. The possible combinations of optic fiber, coating and matrix materials were defined, theoretical and experimental foundation for optimun combination were provided also. Two kinds of real manufacture processing of embedding optic fiber smart composite were given, and the key designs of optic fiber ingress/egress were compared and assessed.

智能材料与结构能够实用的基础是智能元件与基体具有良好的相容性。本文针对复合材料工艺过程在线监测这一光纤智能复合材料的重要应用领域,详细论述光纤与基体材料的相容性研究。内容包括固化后埋光纤对材料力学性能的影响、光纤传感的可能性(包括光纤传感器材料耐用性和基体对信号的衰减)和实际安装过程的可操作性这3方面的理论、实验研究。界定了光纤、包层和基体材料的可能的组合,并为最优组合的选择提供了理论、实验基础。给出了两种埋光纤智能复合材料的实际安装过程,对其中的关键光纤入出口的设计进行了比较与评价。
