Important aspects on 31 plants of 23 genera in 16 families on natural grasslands in Bashang district of Hebei province were discribed in detail, including the ecological environments, poisonous and pernicious materials contained, poisoning symptoms, remedy treatments for domestic animals, and utilition of the plants. Objective: To investigate the role of two isoforms of human progesterone receptor (hPR A and hPR B)in the development and progression of uterine leiomyoma, their distribution and ratio of expression in leiomyoma and normal myometrium were detected respectively, that may be related to the remedy treatment for leiomyoma. Methods: The tissues of leiomyoma and normal myometrium from 30 uteri, which were excised for leiomyoma, were used for the localization and quantification of protein of the above isoforms. Immunohistochemistry and Western blot were applied respectively. Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction was used to detect the relative concentrations of the hPR isoforms. Results: (1)Both hPR A and hPR B were nuclear receptors. (2)Concentrations of hPR (A+B) and hPR A in leiomyoma were higher than those in normal myometrium. Both isoforms were presented in leiomyoma and normal myometrium, with a consistent dominance of hPR B over hPR A. (3)There were more hPR A, hPR B and hPR (A+B) in mRNA of leiomyoma than those in normal myometrium. (4) hPR A and hPR B in mRNA expressed equally in leiomyoma and normal myometrium, which was not parallel to the expression in protein. Conclusion: Both hPR A and hPR B were nuclear receptors. The hPR A in protein expressed higher level in leiomyoma than that in normal myometrium. hPR A and hPR B of mRNA were more in leiomyoma than those in normal myometrium. The development of uterine leiomyoma seems related to the progesterone receptor isoforms, especially hPR A.

We carried out the study to examine the effects of temperature and remedy treatments on the germination of staus seeds of Dioscoreaxingibelensis C.H.Wright and find out the approach to improve the vigor of satus seeds ,which solved the problem between the cultigen and industry production ,and provide an effective approach to use the Dioscoreaxingibelensis C.H.Wright satus seeds in production.
