METHODS Authors systematically presented the work done in all its aspects since the establishment of the bone bank in 1991 with emphasis on the preparation of allograft materials(segments, plates ,and granules), serial xenograft products (granular, massive...

AIM To investigate the current status of a multi variety bone bank, the preparation and storage of its products including allografts, xenografts and artificial bone substitutes, to satisfy clinical needs for grafting materials. METHODS Authors systematically presented the work done in all its aspects since the establishment of the bone bank in 1991 with emphasis on the preparation of allograft materials(segments, plates ,and granules), serial xenograft products (granular, massive and anti infection forms), and artificial bone substitutes (β TCP ceramics and PVP injections), and on the sterilization and storage of these grafting materials. RESULTS Based on our experiences with successful establishment and smooth operation of the multi variety bone bank since 1991, we have mapped out a set of rigorous regulations and effective measures governing preparation, sterilization and storing of bone grafting materials, which has led to grafting results with the ten year clinical use of the products. CONCLUSION Multi variety bone bank not only provides various forms of bone grafting materials to meet the needs for clinical use, but also serves as an important clinical and scientific research base while bringing out many different kinds of grafting materials.

目的 探讨综合骨库的建立及异体骨、异种骨、人工骨制备、保存有关问题 ,以便更好地满足临床对各种骨移植材料的需求 .方法 作者通过总结回顾本研究所综合骨库自1991年建立以来所做的工作 ,较系统地介绍有关异体骨 (骨段、骨板、骨粒 ) ,系列重组合异种骨 (颗粒型、大块型、抗感染型 )及人工骨 (TCP陶瓷、PVP注射剂 )的制备、消毒、保存经验 .结果 自建立综合骨库以来 ,研究总结出一系列行之有效的骨移植材料的制备、消毒和保存方法 ,将所处理的各类植骨材料成功地应用于临床 .结论 建立综合骨库不但可以满足临床对不同骨移植材料的需求 ,为临床提供良好服务 ;同时亦是科研和生产结合一体的重要研究基地 ,在骨移植领域中发挥着至关重要的作用

To develop ideal artificial bone for accelerating the process of repairing segment defect of long bone. Methods: After bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) was combined with porous complex ceramic (PCC) artificial bone,BMP/PCC complex artificial bone was prepared. BMP/PCC and PCC artificial bone were used in the comparative study of repairing the segment defects of radius diaphysis in rabbits.The samples were harvested in 2,4,8 and 12 weeks, and were then examined by gross, histomorphological analysis, quantitative analysis of new bone formation and biomechanical measurement.Results:The new bone in BMP/PCC artificial bone was more than that in PCC artificial bone. At 12 weeks after operation, the bending strength of the radius in BMP/PCC side was stronger than that in PCC side. Conclusion: BMP/PCC artificial bone could accelerate the repairment of segment defect of long bone. It was an ideal artificial bone substitute.

目的:为研制理想的、能较快修复长骨大段骨缺损的人工骨材料。方法:将骨形态发生蛋白(BMP)和多孔复合陶瓷(PCC)结合研制成BMP/PCC人工骨,并将BMP/PCC和PCC人工骨进行兔桡骨大段骨缺损修复的对比研究。术后2、4、8、12周时取材,分别作大体、组织形态学、新骨形成定量分析及生物力学测试。结果:BMP/PCC人工骨内新骨形成量明显多于PCC人工骨,术后12周时,BMP/PCC侧植入部位的抗折强度明显高于PCC侧。结论:BMP/PCC人工骨能更快促进长骨大段骨缺损的修复,是一种较理想的人工骨材料。
