It is shown that there are some obvious differences between the solution of Fokker-Planck equation and our results. These differences come from different descriptions for larger energy exchange events in collisions. As a con crete application of the present theory, the energy gain of the fusion reaction produced by mixed deuterium and tritium beam has been calculated and the significance of improving particle confinement time has been shown.

It is shown that, after the compression, the energy confinement time increases distinctly and the temperature rise is comparable with that evaluated by the adiabatic compression scaling. The effect on compression heating due to magnetic diffusion seems to be insignificant.

本文应用一维输运模型,耦合了纵场与角向场的磁感应方程及等离子体平衡方程,对于压缩时间几倍于能量约束时间的托卡马克小半径方向慢压缩放电过程进行了计算,并与应用磁冻结假设下的计算进行了比较。结果表明,慢压缩时等离子体能量约束时间有成倍或数倍增大,且磁扩散效应不影响压缩效果,等离子体温度有接近于绝热压缩定标的增高。

A design of an electrostatically plugged cusp plasma confinement system is presented. The basic design parameters include a magnetic field at the electrode of 10kG, 10kV for the plug voltage, a plasma density of about 1012cm-3, 0.5 keV ion temperature and a confinement time of longer than 5ms.This system can be used to study the plasma accumulation and heating, potential shielding and electrostatical end plug of axial symmetric tandem mirrors.
