This article generally presents the requirements of offshore cementing system and its assemblies. It is pointed^out that the selection of the offshore cementing system should be based on cementing processing. The specifications of the diesel engine drives should match those of triplex plunger pumps, and the specifications of recirculating mixing system should match delivery rates of the bulk handling system. A list of technical specifications for such a system is given in this paper.

The working principle of the vibration-type water mud densimeter is dis-cussed in our paper. It guided the design of the variator and the secondary me-ter. According to the special properties of water mud and technical require-ments for well cementation, a new type vibration liquid densimeter has beendesigned. A series of checking measurements, such as accuracy, pressurefactor and temperature factor, was performed on the variator. These technicalindex meet the design specification.
