Following the design ideas of linearization of 'he gate circuits, we have, in this paper, pro-posed an economical and stable higher frequency crystal oscillator made up of TTL NAND gates, and derived out a mathematical formula relating the highest oscilla ing frequency of the oscillator with the average delay time of the TTL gates used in the circuit. The test data of the oscillator at 8.448 MHz (the clock frequency of secondary group PCM) are finally given.
