The diploid chromosome number of black carp is 48, the karyotype of whichconsists of 8 metacentric chromosome pairs, 14 submetacentric chromosome pairs, and2 subtelocentric chromosome pairs. The morphology of the chromosome set is charac-terized by very short homologous chromosome pairs of 3.70-2.00μm length range.The total length of the chromosome set is 59.95μm and the number of chromosomearm is 96. This paper also made a review on the comparison of the karyotype of four domesticfishes by different authors.

We undertake karyotype studies on the earthworms from 1981. Chromosome studies were carried out with the reproductive cells of male organs. Sildes were made by the air-drying mothod with Giemsa staining, We calculated the percentage of TCL (total complement length) and their mean values in each chromosome pair. By preliminary studies on the karyotype of three kinds of earthworms (Eisenia foetida, Ohira 2 and Kitoshi 2) and comparing with each other statistically, we have obtained some results. The chromosome number of these kinds of earthworms are all 2n=22, in which there are 4 pairs larger (relative length>11.00), 4 pairs large (relative length<11.00 or>6.50), and 3 pairs small (relative length<6.50). Except the anormaly scarcely, these chromosome pairs were all telocentric. According to their morphological characters and analysing the relative length statistically, we consider that these kinds of earthworms are all Eisenia foetida (Savigny). Therefore, their relationship would be comparatively clear.

1979年起,对赤子爱胜蚓、“大平二号”和“北星二号”先后作了形态学和遗传学方面的研究。以雄性生殖细胞作实验材料,研究方法为活体注射秋水仙素,空气干燥法制片,Giemsa染色,对三种蚯蚓的染色体组型进行了初步研究。根据观察结果表明:三种蚯蚓的单倍体染色体数为11个,2n=22。其中四对是大型的,四对是中型的,3对是小型的。三种蚯蚓的所有染色体除去个别的以外,均为端部着丝点染色体。以三种蚯蚓的染色作相对长度为材料,对规模为5的三种蚯蚓的每对染色体相对长度进行了全盘差异的检验后,所得的统计結果说明各染色体序号间有非常显著性差异(P<0.01),三种蚯蚓种类之间无显著性差异(P>0.05)。无论从形态学或遗传学方面都证实国内的赤子爱胜蚓和从日本引进的“大平二号”和“北星二号”蚯蚓,在分类学上均属于Eisenia foetida(Savigny),它们的亲缘关系是比较清楚的,这为目前人工养殖蚯蚓的良种选育提供了理论依据。

It was found that No. 21 was a pairs of homomorphic chromosomes in the fema-le, but it was a pair of heteromorphic chromosomes in the male, therefore the hetero-morphic chromosomes wore sex chrosmes of C. fuscus in all probabillity. They weret?ely designated as XY. The problem of the heteromorphic chromosomes inPisces was thus discussed, but whether the heteromorphic chromosomes were the sexchromosomes or not awaiting for further investigation.
