Results of immunohistochemical examination for P53: the total positive rate was 67.1% (49/73), of which squamous carcinoma was 39.7% (29/73), adenoid carcinoma was 15.1% (11/73), large cell carcinoma was 6.8% (5/73), small cell carcinoma was 4.1% (3/73), and adenoid squamous carcinoma was 1.4% (1/73).
The VEGF levels in adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma,small cell carcinoma and adeno-squamous cell carcinoma were 410.12±87.23,386.78±102.36,365.64±98.47,and 373.91±138.65,respectively,with no significant difference between them.

[Results] AgNORs counts of lymphocyte chromosomes in adenocarcinoma, small cell cancer and squamous cell carcinoma were (9.01±0.51), (8.26±0.42) and (7.74±0.38), respectively, significantly higher than the control groups (6.98±0.46), (P <0.01).
The incidence age of 4 histological classifcations of lung cancer reached high peak in age of 55 to 64 years,and the persents were 44.5% for squamous cell carcinoma,47 2% for adenocarinoma,50.0% for small cell cancer and 35.7% for large cell cancer.

Pathological examinations revealed 3 cases of well-differentiated papillary adenocarcinoma of the duodenum, 1 case of endocrine small-cell carcinoma of the head of pancreas, and 1 case of papillary adenomatoid hyperplasia of the duodenum with malignant changes accompanying intermediated-differentiated adenocarcinoma of upper and middle intrahepatic biliary duct.
The authors reviewed and analyzed 37 patients with cerebral metastasis from the lung cancer. They were confirmed by operation with pathology, of them, including 17 cases of adenocarcinoma, 11 cases of squamous-cell carcinoma,squamon-sadenocarcinoma, and 9 cases of large-cell plus small-cell carcinoma.

Further workup revealed mediastinal Hodgkin's disease (HD; nodular sclerosing subtype) Ann Arbor stage II and non-small cell cancer of the lung (stage T1N0M0).
Of the three small cell lung cancer cell lines tested, two were sensitive to both carboplatin and cisplatin; and only one cell line (N857) was resistant to cisplatin; all the non-small cell cancer cell lines tested were resistant to both drugs.
