The discrete element method, which has been developed since the seventies, is a numerical method suitable for analysis in jointed rocks. Fully taking into account of the discontinuity of the jointed rocks, this method is based on the individual blocks cut out by numerous sets of joints. Large displacement is permissible for individual blocks, which could even fall down as free bodies. The fundamental principle of the discrete element method is the Newtonian laws, and the whole problem is solved for the different...

The discrete element method, which has been developed since the seventies, is a numerical method suitable for analysis in jointed rocks. Fully taking into account of the discontinuity of the jointed rocks, this method is based on the individual blocks cut out by numerous sets of joints. Large displacement is permissible for individual blocks, which could even fall down as free bodies. The fundamental principle of the discrete element method is the Newtonian laws, and the whole problem is solved for the different constitutive relations by using the dynamic relaxation method and time-marching technique. The preliminary research on ore drawing of the caving method by using the discrete element method is reported in this paper. Only plane problems are considered. By using the computer modelling and the AutoCAD, the results can be displayed in graphics on screen or plotted by a plotter or printer. The results of ore drawing modelling for inclined wall condition have shown that the discrete element method is useful not only in modelling ore drawing with different geometries but also in research on the kinematics and the force transmission relations during ore drawing. The incomparable advantage of the discrete element method in ore drawing research is in its flexibility in dealing with problems under various boundary conditions and in its possibility to study the drawing mechanism in depth.

The drawing of electrical machines, if Plotted by, manual operations, is very complicated because it is complex and difficult to be modified. FPLC-CADS, a computer-aided design system of hydraulicss recently deve-lopped in the Institute of Fluid Power Transmission and Control of Zhejiang University (FPTC), consists of three independent parts: the generating system of the schematic drawings of hydraulics (SGS), the generating system of the assembling drawings of hydraulics (AGS) and the generating system of the detailed engineering drawings of hydraulics (EGS). The system based on the AUTOCAD software are realized on microcomputers such as IBM-PC and the compatibles. Re-developing the AUTOCAD software is the basic concept of the research. The graphic library has an opening structure, so that the system can be easily developed and maintained by users. The structure of database is layer structure. With the help of searching tools of AutoLisp, the "Nominal" searching mode can accelerate the data-processing of the program. An accepted user's envirenment (Menu-driven Control System) is another characteristic of the system. The design of the proportional control function blocks of the single cylinder press is an example of FPTC-CADS.

FPTC—CADS系统是浙江大学流体传动及控制研究所研制开发的液压系统计算机辅助设计软件,它包括三个相互独立的子系统:液压系统原理图生成模块、液压系统总装图生成模块以及液压系统零件图生成模块。该系统在IBM—PC微机上实现,以Auto CAD作为基础绘图软件进行大量的二次开发而建成。 FPTC—CADS具有强大的数据图形库支持,变参型数据图形库技术是庞大的CAD软件得以在微型计算机上实现的关键所在,装配模型的研究解决了装配图中零部件装配时产生的“覆盖”问题。FPTC—CADS的实用举例是对500T单缸液压机控制功能块的设计。
