Magnetic properties of an easy-plane trigonal NdFe3(BO3)4 antiferromagnet

A large number of investigations has shown that the magnetic properties of Nd-Te-B magnets depend directly on its microstructure. Though the influence of the B-rich phase on the coercivity of the magnets is not as essential as the Nd-rich phase, its existence decreaces the saturation magnetization of the magnets. The optimum Theoptimum performance magnets with maximum energy product of 355.8kJ/m3 have been obtained by reducing or eliminating the B-rich phase throughc ontrolling the composition of the alloy.

When the NdFe_(10)M_2 parent compounds are absorbed with carbon, the Curie tempurature increase by 100 K, the saturation magnetization slightly decrease, wherease the strong anisotrpy field exist. Investigating with Mossbauer Spectra, we found that the average hyperfine field of the carbonized compounds are little low than the parent compounds and the atomic moments, calculated from the average hyperfine field, are 1.00~2.00 T, more less than that of α-Fe, The isomer shifts and the quadrupole splits are...

NdFe_(10)M_2母体样品渗C后,居里温度上升了100K,饱和磁化强度有所下降,而表现出强的各向异性场,NdFe_(10)Mo_2的易磁化方向从易面变为易c轴。穆斯堡尔谱研究发现,渗C后的超精细场比母体样品有所降低,由平均超精细场计算到的原子磁矩在1.00~1.22T,远小于口α-Fe的原子磁矩。渗C后样品的同质异能移位,四级分裂值缩小。
