The authors observed the fracture process of WC-steel composite material GTW50 in different states of heat treatment, using three-point bend specimens with optical microscope, SEM was used to analyse fractograph. The results of the observations of the fracture process show that with the load increased,the tensile strain on the underneath surface of the specimens is increased gradually, and that fracture ensues when the strain reaches a critical value. The results of the observations of the fracture process show that with the load increased,the tensile strain on the underneath surface of the specimens is increased gradually, and that fracture ensues when the strain reaches a critical value. The microcracks begin to occur predominantly at the larger WC partcles, the interface and cavities of aggregated WC particles. The increase in strain rate leads to coalescencing of microcrack at the cracked WC particles, at the same time a fracture process which smaller WC particles begin to appear. When the tensile strain is increased further, the previous crack will concentrate stress and deformation ahead of itself recreating more voids and expanding them.Finally, three possible propagation ways are described.

本文用光学金相显微镜在三点弯曲载荷作用下,观察了不同热处理状态的WC-钢复合材料GJW50断裂全过程;用扫描电镜进行了断口分析。结果表明,随着外加载荷增大,试样下表面张应变量ε_θ增大,当达到最大张应力时便产生显微裂纹。其显微裂纹总是在粗大的WC粒子和硬质相WC聚集区的WC粒子间界面以及孔隙处优先萌生。随着应变量增大,已开裂WC粒子中的微裂纹张开粗化,与此同时,尺寸较小的WC粒子开始产生微裂纹;应变量进一步增加,已开裂WC粒子的裂纹进一步张开,向前发生扩展。并对其扩展的可能途径进行了研讨。

In this paper, a formula of stress intensity factor (SIF) for a single sided corner crack at an open hole in a plate under bending load was propsed using boundary element method. The shape development law and fatigue propagation law of the single-sided corner crack at an open hole under alterative bending moncnt was studied experimentally. A relation of exponential function is present between the crack growth in length and depth directions.

本文运用边界元方法提出了弯曲载荷作用下,平板中孔单边角裂纹裂尖的应力强度因子(SIF)的计算式。并通过实验研究了孔单边角裂纹在交变的弯矩作用下,裂纹的形貌变化规律及裂纹扩展速率,指出角裂纹沿长度方向的扩展可以用Paris公式来描述,而沿深度方向则不然,但两者之间具有幂函数的关系。
