Various Indica type rice varieties have been single-crossed, multiple-crossed or backcrossed with Nongken 685. the Japonica donor of photoperiod-sensitive genie male sterile (PGMS ) genes .since 1982. The effectiveness of conducting the PGMS-genes from the Japonica rice into the Indica rice genetic background was studied. The selection frequency in F2 from single-crossing was 0.0064%, and that in F2 from multiple. crossing and backcrossing was 0.0185%.W6154S. W7416S. W6184S, W6111S and W6434S were developed from the progenies of multiple-crossing through directional selection and fertility identification. These Indica photoperiod-sensitive genie male sterile lines ate uniform in agronomic traits and stable in fettility.They are belong to the early or medium rice in the Valley of, Yangtze River. The photoperiod-sensitive genie male sterile genes in these lines can completely express under the natural condition in Wuhan.It is found that these indica photoperiod-sensitive genie male sterile lines have two fertility- transfotming periods in fertility, about JulY 10 and September 10. respectively.These results will widen tile utilization range and raise the value of the PGMS rice.

从1982年开始,以湖北光敏核不育水稻原始株农垦58S为PGMS基因的供体,用不同的籼稻品种进行单交、复交或回交。研究了PGMS基因导入籼稻背景的效果,单交F2的入选频率为0.0064%,回交或复交F2的入选频率为0.0155%。通过定向选择和育性鉴定,已从复交后代选育出W6154S、W7415S、W6184S、W6111S和W6434S等釉型光敏感核不育系。其农艺性状一致,育性稳定, PGMS基因在武汉自然光温条件下能完全表达。 发现在 7日 10 日左右和 9月10日左右有两个育性转换期。这一发现扩大了光敏感核不育水稻的应用价值和范围。已育成的不育系属于长江流域的早稻和中稻。

Experiments of periodic seeding of 18 entries of photoperiod-sensitive genetic male sterile (PGMS) lines of different subspecies were conducted all year round for three con sccutive years from 1986 to 1988 in Nanchang, Jiangxi. The main results are as follows:

经1986~1988年.先后对十八套不同亚种类型的光敏感核不育系,在江西南昌,连续三年进行分期播种试验,已得到如下主要研究结果:1.基本探明了供试的十八套不同粳、籼亚种类型的光敏感核不育系,在南昌(28°41′N)的育性转换时期、阶段及稳定性.经育性转换及杂一代优势观察,已筛选出育性转换、开花习性及经济性状较好的粳型双9—2S、28006S和籼型W6417S、W6154S、赣ⅢS等光敏感核不育系.2.不同亚种类型及同一亚种不同品种的光敏感核不育系,其育性转换特点有明显差异.一般规律:籼型核不育系,普遍存在不育期较长,转育较晚,同时可育期易受低温影响结实的特点;而粳型核不育系,则普遍较籼型核不育系的不育期为短,育性转换较早,不育期因高温影响,常有部分散粉自交结实现象,但可育期因低温影响结实不明显.3.鉴于不同亚种类型光敏核不育系的育性转换特点不同,结合其开花习性差异对杂交制种的影响,从育种应用出发,研究提出:我国长江中下游稻作区,水稻光敏核不育系的选育,应重点主攻籼亚种,首先突破早熟早籼为宜.在选材上优先考虑矮秆、抗病、优质以及开花习性好,柱头外露率高等性状.

Indica photopcriod-sensitive genetic male sterile rice (PGMS) W6154S was used to study the response of fertility transFormation to light and temperature, and to determine the sensitive stage and the critical value for this process. The results appeared as follows:

以籼型光敏核不育水稻W6154S为材料,研究了影响育性转变的主要光温因素,诱导育性转变的敏感时期,以及临界值。结果表明: 1.幼穗发育的“花粉母细胞形成期”,即见穗前10~15天,是光温条件影响育性转变的敏感时期。 2.在光温各种条件中,影响育性转变的最大因素是日最低气温和可照时数,而以最低气温这一因素更为重要。 3.W6154S在“花粉母细胞形成期”诱导育性转向可育的临界日最低温度值为20.66℃;临界日可照时数值为12.7小时(12:42′)。在南昌地区(28°33′N)育性转向可育的诱导期大体在九月初,表现期在9月中旬。
