After a careful study of the dependence of the minimal value of the working pressure angle on Z_d and h_a~*, the authors recommend h_a~*=0.6. With the method proposed by the authors, a limiting chart can be easily made, furthermore, the fundamental parameters of gears can be investigated and the design of an involute internal gear pair can be accordingly put into practice.
The purpose of the present paper lies in how to find out the solution of the addendum modification coefficients x_1 and x_2 when an operating pressure angle α′ has been given and the calculating value of the trochoidal interference G_s can be successively approximated to any prescribed value.
To maintain the same number of contact points between the cutter and the workpiece, this paper suggests the balance contact shaving method by using smaller pressure angle shaving cutter, that is using the combination of the balance contact shaving cutter and modifying the tooth profile of shaving cutter.
