The paper pre-sents a discussion of the assembly features and date of Fusulinida fauna,establishes an assemblage ofPolydiexodina-Neomisellina-Codonofusiella as the highest fusulinid fossil zone for late stage of Early Permi-an,and discribes in detail the Neomisellina wupingensis sp.nov.
it is proposed that maximum flooding surface is the best choice of boundary stratotype in continental facies stratum, namely boundary stratotype point should be established on the bottom of widespread distributed fossil zone above the maximum flooding surface.
The Ordovician strata has been divided resonably and revised in epoches inn this paper, therefore, 11 fossil zones or biological assemblages of Ordovician are set up in the area.
Through the study on the bio-stratigraphy, sequence and chemo-stratigraphy from the Or-dovician/Silurian boundary section in Wangjiawan, Huanghuachang, Fengxiang of Yichang County and the newly founded one in Goujiaya of Yuan 'an County, the fossil zones of the upper-most Ordovician and the lowermost Silurian are securely re-established in ascending order; Nankinolithus zone, Dicellograptus complexus zone, Paraorthograptus pacificus zone, Nor-malograptus bohemicus-N.
Four genera and five species of Liaoning and Hebei fossil lizards were named, and at least two new genera and species are being studied. Four lizard fossil zones are recognized in ascending order: Middle Jurassic Yabeinosaurus youngi Zone, early Early Cretaceous Dalinghosaurus longidigitus-Yabeinosaurus ten-uis Assemblage Zone, early Early Cretaceous Yabeinosaurus tenuis Zone, and late Early Cretaceous Teil-hardosaurus canbonarius Zone.
Conodonts discovered from Xiaoshigai section at the boundary between the Cambrian- Ordovician systems of Xiaoshan Region,Zhejiang Province are used to establish 4 con-odont fossil zones.
The Walongshan Formation was established then and it is featured by abundant fusulinid. Six fusulinid zones were established as follows:(1)Eostaffella mosquensis zone,(2)Millerella-Eostaffella zone,(3)Pseudostaffella-Eostaffella zone,(4)Profusuliena zone,(5)Fusulina-Fusulinella zone,(6)Protriticites-Triticites zone.
The present paper introduces the strata of the Carboniferous Chuanshan Formation in Shaxian, Fujian. According to the distribution of fusulinid fossils in the strata, the fusulinids may be distingushed into 5 zones in descending order as follows: 5) Eoparafusulina pararegularis Zone, 4) Sphaeroschwagerina sphaerica Zone, 3) Zellia chengkungensis Zone, 2) Pseudoschwagerina miharanaensis Zone and 1) Triticites shikhanensis compactus Zone.
Here described in detail are totally 11 genera and 28 species of upper Permian-Lower Triassic conodonts collected from Boreholes 11-l,11-2,79-8,etc. near Zhenjiang,with the establishment of 6 conodont zones(including 1 upper Permian zone and 5 Lower Triassic zones),based on which correlations are made between corresponding zones both at home and abroad.
hughesi and Stichocorys delmontensis, etc, we establish respectivelythree radiolarian fossi1 zones of the Late Miocene in the southern South China Sea,inclu-ding RN6,RN7 and RN8, and discuss their stratlgraphic age.
The Chihsia limestone in eastern CHINA, as our present knowledge goes, comprises 4 fusulinid zones, namely, (1) zone of Schwagerina Tschernyschewi, (2) zone of Misellina claudiae, (3) zone of Nankinella orbicularis-Mufushanella mufushanensis, (4) zone of Sohwagerina chihsiaensis-Parafusulina multiseptata in ascending order. The first zone comprises Schwaqerina tshornyschewi; the second zone contains mainly Misellina claudiao with some Schwagerina tschernyschewi;
According to the distribution of mollusk fossil assemblages in the loess section, 11 mollusk fossil zones have been recognized, representing different climatic and ecological conditions.
A sequence-stratigraphic framework of the Dabeigou-Zhangjiagou Fms has been constructed by tracing sequence-bounds, marker-beds and fossil zones.
The Middle Ordovician Volginsky and Kirensky fossil zones were sampled in the Krivaya Luka section (Krivolutsky suite) that outcrops along the Lena river in Siberia.
Eight fossil zones were identified in the Upper Cretaceous section of the C-15Testhole, which ranges in age from Cenomanian to Maastrichtian.

Recently, some new fusulinids have been discovered in the middle part of the limestone.In the districts of Nanlin and Chenghsien, southern Anhuei,some Cancellina-like fusulinlds were collected from the middle beds of the Chihsia limestone. They are now named as Praesumatrina anhueiensis Chen and Praesumatrina sp. Some specimens of Misellina claudiao were discovered together with Sohwagerina chihsiaonsis in the upper part of the limestone. This confirms the fact that this species has been found to occur through the whole beds of the Chihsia limestone in southwestern China. Some peculiar and very interesting fusulinid fossils were recently found in the middle part of the Chihsia limestone at Mufushan near Nanking city,Kiangsu. We call this fusulinid Mufushanolla mufushanonsis Chen. This new species is rhombic in axial section; its characteristic features are the presence of foramen in the basal part of the septa in the outer volutions and the absence of parachamata between the foramen. These specimens will be described in the following.
Upper Cambrian conodont bearing strata are widely distributed in many provinces of China, Anhui Province being one of them. In this paper, according to the fossil assemblages of trilobites and conodont, three conodont zones are established and may be correlated with the three trilobite zones.(see Table Ⅱ,Ⅲ) Three new genera (Prodentatus, Prodistacodus, Triangulatudus,) ten new species (Hertzina quadrata, Oistodus fungshanensis, Proconodontus anulatus, Proconodontus longiformis, Prodentatudus dentatus, Prooneotodus...
