A New Method of the Prediction of Short-term and Impending Earthquake—the Satellite Infrared Abnormal Forecasting Earthquake Ⅱ—Basic Feature of Abnormal and Basic Thought of the New Method
The wri ter made a short impending term forecast for this earthquake based on above anomalies and three factors of prediction corresponded to the actual situation.
Our research results have also indicated that the geomagnetic pulsation transfer function has obvious short-impending anomalies and typical anomaly forms before earthquakes.
This method can be realistically significant to the studies of the seismogenic mechanisms (especially for the short-impending characters), the prediction of the strong seismic activity and the seismogenic model.
In order to quantitatively describe the geoelectric precursor anomaly in the short-impending process of earthquakes, a new geoelectric precursor index - (monthly) relative change rate of ground resistivity, Rρ(t), is designed.
DIW theory can quantitatively divide the seismogenic process of the foci on the short-term and impending process into several phases, and by inversing the discharge functionq(τ) curve, the time values by which the phases are divided were obtained.
The result shows that the spatial distribution of short-term and imminent anomalies of water radon before earthquake seems to be mainly related to the active master fault nearby the hypocenter of an earthquake and the earthquake-generating mechanism.
