Under the impact of world oil crisis the energy consumption in the newly designed ethylene plants abroad in recent years has dropped drastically with some of them even 40% lower than that consumed before 1973. The energy-saving effect of technical transformation of existing plants is also significant with some of them as efficient as half of that of newly designed plants. The major steps taken include increasing thermo-efficiency of crackers, reducting pressure drop due to resistance of coolers in the cracking...

The ethylene industry abroad is obviously inclined to use light feed stock in recent years. It is anticipatod that in 1990 40% of the feedstock for ethylene production will be liquified oil gas.

A number of important and representative results are cited from those generated at home. Finally, the prospects for catalytic research on this subject are forecast.

本文中首先对合成气制烃催化过程和催化剂的发展史作了简单回顾,介绍了F—T合成反应特征、催化剂组分和效应以及合成工艺。在此基础上对1980年以来国内外,特别是国内研究和开发的、重要的、有代表性的合成气直接制取低碳烯烃、液体燃料、异构烷烃和液化石油气的催化体系作了较详细的介绍。最后展望了今后发展方向。
