Modification technique is widely used in gear design. The limitation of traditional modification technique is that the sum of modification coefficients of two engaged gears must equal to zero (x 1+x 2=0,x t1 +x t2 =0), which is called zero modification technique. This will weaken load capacity of one of engaged gears whose modification coefficient is negative. The non zero modification (x 1+x 2≠0,x ta +x t2 ≠0) can effectively overcome this disadvantage. Modification technique is widely used in gear design. After analyzing the characteristics of angular gear transmission , the authors applied the non zero modification technique to the design of angular bevel gear. Some equations of angular gear transmission and a simplified formula for design spiral bevel gears are derived. By combining the angular gear transmission with non zero modification technique, a pair of new type angular bevel gears which have a shaft angle of 18° is designed .The gears have a heavier load capacity and better performance.

针对斜交轴锥齿轮传动中的设计问题 ,将非零变位技术引入该类齿轮传动的设计中。推导了有关斜交轴锥齿轮传动的公式及锥齿轮设计的通用简化计算公式。采用文中所述方法 ,对一对轴交角为 1 8°的螺旋锥齿轮进行了改进设计。结果表明 ,采用本文推导的设计公式可简化设计计算 ,同时变位系数的选择具有较大的范围 ,经过改进设计的齿轮具有较好的弯曲强度、接触强度和啮合性能。
