From three aspects of the lack of water resources,water disaster and water pollution,this paper expounds the problems faces by the water resources in Yancheng City,and based on this,advances a series of measures for implementing the sustainable utilization of the water resources in Yancheng City.
According to existing problems of rational and effective utilization of water resources and sustainable development, it proposes that water environment should be treated by economic policies and legal ways, the water pollution should be controlled effectively, and the exploitation, utilization and protection of water resources should head for market.
