Then the graph is dissected according to the need of the design. The volume, height and surface area of the dissected sub-bodies of the graph are calculated automatically by the computer. After- wards the instantaneous rising speeds of liquid steel in mould cavities for five different pouring processes are computed. Compared with the conventional design methods the computer aided design may predict dynamic behaviors of the melt in mould cavities and makes it possible to optimize filling proeess for large steel castings.

High presure laboratory of NUST had been built since 1980. Many progresses had beenmade in the theory and practice of auto frettage technology about high pressure vessels andgun barrels, high pressure measurements, high pressure media and so on. Since 1993, theresearch of the high pressure WJ system has been developed. It has been solved about thehigh pressure sealing of dynamic and and reciprocation transmitters. The main components, the design of individual parts and the key techniques in the design are discussed, especially emphasizing on solving the problems such as the fatigue of the high pressure cylinder body and the reliability of seals under high pressure. Recent developments of related technologies are also provided. Finally, some idea and suggestions are given in accord with the improvement and spread of this technology in China.

作为我国高压水射流切割机的第一个产品即“大地水刀”,已进入市场两年多了。笔者以此为背景,介绍增压器式水切割机的超高压发生器及切割部分;讨论其主要部件、零件结构设计及关键技术。尤其在产业化中,对高压缸体疲劳寿命和高压动密封可靠性等问题解决方案作深入探讨;给出在相关技术方面近期的发展。最后,结合我国水切割机技术的提高和推广,提出初步的看法和建议。
