    In this paper, according to the thermodynamic, calculation and the difference of PO_4~(3-) and CO_3~(2-) bonding to some metal ions, the authors designed a "Metal ion-hydrophilic ligand" method to separate collophane from dolomite. It uses some metal ions, Fe~(3+), for example, to "activate" the adsorption of hydrophilic ligand onto collophane surface, and thus the collophane particles are made hydrophilic and depressed without evident effect on dolomite because of adsorbing little amount of Fe~(3+). Separation results of batch flotation on artificial mixture of pure minerals(25.87%P_2O_5 and 6.25%MgO) have indicated that it is possible to recover a concentrate containing 37.1% P_2O_5 and 0.6% MgO with 95.6% P_2O_5 recovery, using "Fe~(3+)—hydrophilic ligand" as depressant.

    In this paper, a roller fracture at the Xi Nan iron and steel factory was analyzed, and revealed that fatigue fracture of the roller was caused by impurities in the material and lack of temper. In the meantime, the paper stated universal applications of several modern analysis instruments in the fracture analysis.
