A full scale hot testing facility is bult up to test the main equipment of the fuel circulating system and control system of the 10MW high temperature gas cooled reactor(HTR-10) in real op- erating temperature and helium of the reactor and to gain designing and operating experience.
Two schemes of initial-core of 10MW high temperature gas cooled test reactor (HTR-10) have been designed. Among which,scheme one refers to "ordinary fuel ball with graphite ball" and scheme two to "ordinary fuel ball with natural Uranium ball". The analysis and calculations have been made by means of the HTR simulation code VSOP.
In order to make the 10 MW high temperature gas cooled test reactor(HTR-10) operating under safe and economic conditions, the characteristics of the equilibrium state of core for HTR-10 were studied with three models: 5 times through then out, 8 times through then out, and 10 times through then out. Calculation and analysis of the chosen schemes were done using the high temperature gas cooled reactor physics design .
