A new method of tube shearing i. e.,the double-mandrel periphery shearing was studied. Themethod was developed in such a way that the cutting edge is applied periphrally to a steel tube so as to cut offthe tube gradually. An analysis is thus made kinematically to the deformation of the metal being sheared,with the feasibility proved experimentally. The quality of fracture surface is also discussed.
