The semi-theoretical and -empirical calibration curve, θv = (T/ Ta--Ts/Ta) / (Kw0.5-1), soil water content (θv ) versus propagation time (T) of electromagnetic wave along TDR probe inserted in soil, is used to calculate soil water content.
The XRD detectors of planar mirror facility were replaced by AXUV100, increasing the rate of signal versus noise by 2 to 3 orders of magnitude, and the calibration region of 150～270 eV has been expanded to be 50～1 500 eV. The reflectivity calibration curves for 5℃, Si and Ni planar mirrors are given, and the values of experiment and calculation are compared and analyzed.
A program which can be used to calculate the calibration curves for measuring friction factor by ring upsetting is made with FORTRAN. The curve describes the relations between the height logarithm strain and the inner radius logarithm strain in various friction factors. The calibration of Soil Moisture Probe type SMS2 and Meter type HH2 (HH2) is studied in Heilu Soil and Huangshan Soil in tableland and gully region of the Loess Plateau, and the relationship between the bulk density and the calibration curves is analyzed. The result show the measurements by HH2 are credible under the calibration curves, the curves are affected by the soil bulk density.
