The fracture toughness and flexural strength of in-situ toughened Si_3N_4 ceramic with 11.2 MPa·m ̄(1/2),823MPa at room temperature and 23. 9MPa·m ̄(1/2), 630MPa at high temperature(1350℃ ) were obtainedby HP methed,respectively. The relation between microstructure and mechanical properties was studied.The result shows that the anlount of glassy phase and the aspect ratio of β-Si_3N_4 have significant effects onthe properties of the material.The toughened mechanism of in-situ toughened Si_3N_4 ceramic was analyzed,and the phenomena of crack deflection,crack branching and β-Si_3N_4's being pulled out were obviousobserved by SEM.

The influence of the amount of Y_2O_3-La_2O_3 system additives on microstructure and properties of in situ toughened Si_3N_4 were studied in this paper. The results show: the proper amount additives of Y_2O_3-La_2O_3 Can obviously enchance β-Si_3N_4 columnar crystals to grow, rise its aspect ratio, and increase the flexural strength and fracture toughness. The mechanism of the effects of additives amount on microstucture and properties of in situ toughened Si_3N_4 were also discussed

本文研究了Y2O3-La2O3系统添加剂的加入量对自韧Si3N4的显微结构和性能的影响规律。结果表明:在实验的添加剂量范围内,适量的添加剂能促使β-Si3N4柱状晶生长,长径比增大,其强度和断裂韧性增加。

In terms of experimental results,the activation energy of this material iscalculated, which is 817KJ /Mol.Oxidation procedure was mainly controlled by diffusion of additives andim purity ions at the grain boundaries. The cause of property variations after oxidation was brieflyanalysed....

对15Mol%(Y_2O_3+La_2O_3)复合添加剂自韧Si_3N_4的氧化行为进行了研究。结果表明,在1300~1350℃的温度范围内自韧Si_3N_4的氧化符合抛物线氧化规律,根据实验结果计算出该温度下材料的活化能为817KJ/Mol。氧化过程主要由晶界处添加剂离子和杂质离子的扩散过程控制。简要地分析了氧化后性能变化的原因。
