The microscopic structures of attapulgite were studied by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM); TEM photos of attapulgite were treated with Image-Pro-Plus software in order to get distributions of its width and length; the thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA) of attapulgite was done by NETZSCH TG209 made in Germany. The experimental results showed that the purified attapulgite has less impurity, more thin and more short than the commercial attapulgite, its dispersion is more even. The length distribution of crude attapulgite is mostly 400~1000nm, the average is about 700nm, the width distribution is 10~35nm, the average is about 20nm,the length distribution of purified attapulgite is also 400~1000nm, the average is about 700nm, the width distribution is 5~30nm, the average is about 15nm, thus, distributions of length and width of the purified attapulgite are more narrow than that of the commercial attapulgite. The NBR NBR/ Attapulgite hybrids were prepared by the NBR used as basic material and nano-scale attapulgite used as additive.The properties of the hybrids were tested.The results showed that the nano-meter attapulgite can improve the properties of the NBR due to the special structure and state of the attapulgite,and the process must be fully to assure the uniformity of the NBR,meanwhile,the mechanism of nano-scale particles improved properties of polymer NBR is discussed.

以丁腈橡胶为基体材料,纳米级凹凸土为添加剂,对混炼工艺条件及纳米级凹凸土对丁腈橡胶性能的影响进行了研究。试验结果表明,纳米级凹凸土可以大大提高丁腈橡胶的性能,纳米级凹凸土不只作为增量填充剂,在混炼过程中,必须充分加工以保证其在胶料中均匀分布,以提高纳米凹凸土与丁腈橡胶的相容性,同时,探讨了纳米粒子改性丁腈橡胶性能的机理。
