Nauplius of the brine shrimp (Artemia salina) has been used extensively as a live food for rearing larvae of marine fishes and prawns. The brine shrimp can be fed on a variety of live unicellular algae. 1. A morphological anatomy of the brine shrimp was described in detail. 2. The reproduction, growth and individual development of the brine shrimp were detailed. 3. Hatching conditions of the resting eggs of the brine shrimp were discussed.

本文利用我国北方塘沽盐场产的卤虫(Artemia salina)休眠卵作为孵化培养的试验材料,对卤虫的形态进行解剖观察并作详细叙述。卤虫以单细胞藻及有机碎屑为饵。一生中经过无节幼虫期、后无节幼虫期、拟成虫期和成虫期的变态过程。在这一过程中要经过多次蜕皮,每蜕皮一次,身体就长大一次。雌雄虫的形态区别主要在于第二触角和生殖器官。雄虫一般极为少见。雌虫产两种类型卵子:休眠卵和非休眠卵。后者为孤雌生殖。卤虫的生长和性成熟与其水温等有关系。水温高,生长成熟都比较快。水温还和休眠卵的孵化速度有关。平均水温20.8℃时,经46小时开始孵化;25℃经24小时开始孵化;29.5℃经12小时开始孵化。孵化水的波美氏度(卤度)以4—5度最为合适。在缺乏光照时,孵化率大为下降。卤虫无节幼虫是世界海产鱼、虾幼体的著名活饵料。因此,对其孵化、培养条件的进一步探讨是很有必要的。

In contrast to the natural spawning time, which is mainly at night, the induced spawning occured in the day time. Among the 37 gravid individuals controled under artificial light, 24 shrimps laid eggs between 10:00-16:00. The chemical or temperature treatment were used just before the first cleavage of the fertilized eggs. Altogether 25 batches of eggs were induced in this way. Among them more than two thousand individuals from 5 groups survived to the sub-adult stage with size between 7-10 cm.To detect ploidy level of the different chromosomal set manipulations, a new technique for obtaining metaphase chromosome spreads has been developed. The midgut tissues were proved to be suitable for this purpose. The results of chromosomal analysis showed that the most effective treatment with temperature produced 60% tetraploid, whereas the most effective CB treatment produced 66.7% tetraploid. Some chromosomal mosaic individuals were observed as well. The preliminary comparison study ,of the grpwth rate showed that the tetraploid had statistically significant dominancy of growth rate by about 22% (p=0.01) than the diploid.

利用光控和行为学原理,控制中国对虾在适当时候产卵,在一定的时刻以温度休克和细胞松弛素的方法诱导受精卵发育成为四倍体。作者发展了对虾染色体制备技术,以中肠和触角腺、精巢为材料,从后期幼体直到8~9cm左右次成虾均获得较好的分裂中相。染色体倍性检测结果表明,最好的四倍体诱导成功率达66.7%。共获得10cm左右的实验对虾几千尾。初步观察表明,四倍体中国对虾具有一定的生长优势。

An explosive epidemic disease of shrimp occurred in 1993.The pathological study on diseased shrimp through light and electron microscope examination showed that inflated and deeply eosinophilic nuclei were found in the following tissues: Hypodermal tissue(including epithelium of fore and hindgut,epidermis and gill,etc. ),connective tissue hematopoietic tissue,antennal gland and hemolymph cells as well.Under electron microscopy, pathogenic nuclei were fully filled with a kind of baculovirus, which was 120nm×360nm in size and covered with envelop. Because no polyhedron and gramlin were discovered in nuclear,the virus belonged to C group baculovirus,i.e.non-occluded baculovirus. According to the epidemic symptom,infected target tissue and characteristics of virus,the virus was considered a new shrimp virus and named hypodermal and hematopoietic necrosis baculovirus (HHNBV) temporarily.

1993年对虾暴发性流行病的患病对虾经光镜组织病理学研究和电镜观察,在对虾的皮下组织(包括前肠上皮、后肠上皮、真皮和鳃等)、结缔组织、造血组织、触角腺及血淋巴细胞等的细胞核均发现核肿大和深的嗜酸性着色。在电镜下,病变组织的细胞核内为一种杆状病毒充满,病毒大小为120nm×360nm,有囊膜,在细胞内不形成核型多角体或颗粒体类包涵体,属于杆状病毒属的无包涵体型杆状病毒亚群,即C型杆状病毒亚群。根据该对虾暴发性流行病的症状、病毒感染的靶组织和病毒的特征,该病毒被认为是一种新的对虾病毒,暂定名为皮下及造血组织坏死杆状病毒。
